Folksy Friday: Bunnies

Easter themed items are everywhere right now, so how about a bunny rabbit
theme Folksy Friday?

I love how rabbits can come in all sizes and colours, so i've tried to make sure
i've featured a variety this week :)

If you're on Pinterest, you can see this week's bunny picks here.

Let's hop to it!

Thanks as always goes to the makers of the items above,
I love each and every one ;) so thank you!

And a big thank you to our visitors for getting Ello to 10,000 views!

I'm probably going to have a giveaway next month in honour of Ello's 1st birthday so keep an eye out for that :D

Hopping you have a good weekend!
(i'll end the rabbit puns now, promise!)

Ello Finds: The Ochil Tree

Thanks to the happy return of the recently listed items on Folksy, i've found a load of shops that i'd just love to purchase from.

One of these is the The Ochil Tree :)

As you can see straight away, I was drawn in by the gorgeous fabric!

Some of my favourite shops on Folksy tend to be ones that use fabric, due to me not being able to sew and my admiration for those who do.

One of the things I love about The Ochil Tree is the personalisation option you can have on some of their pencil cases.

As someone who personalises too, I love having this option available :)

I can't wait until the shop fills up some more and its obvious by the sales, that items don't hang around for long!

So why not pop over and take a look for yourself?

Folksy Friday: Apples

Ello again! As started in my last post, this week theme will be apples!

Apples are probably my favourite fruit (not that I eat much fruit anyway!) and one my favourite scents, along with vanilla and strawberry.

I've skipped the Pinterest board this week, so jumped right in and plucked these tasty treats from the Folksy search.

Enjoy as always! *nom*

Thanks has to go to the makers of these juicy items! :)

Hope you all have a good weekend filled with sales!

Ello's Apple Collection

Since doing design in college, I now have a habit of looking at things a lot more, especially the design and packaging.

One of the prettier products i've started collecting is Nina Ricci perfume :)

The apple bottle perfume's are my favourite (who can resist a bottle shaped like an apple anyway!?)

Here's a couple of my apples:

You can see me taking the photo in the tops of the bottles (oops lol)

The nearest to us is my new favourite, the limited edition Nina Fantasy (it smells gorgeous as well as having a pretty design!)

The clear one on the left is the original Nina while the gradient bottle is Nina L'Elixir, which is a lot stronger. They're all really nice though!

I sort of feel like the Evil Queen from Snow White with all these apples!

Which brings me to say that apples will obviously be this week's Folksy Friday theme :) I'll be sure to find the tastiest apples, so look out for that soon.

On a perfume note, which do you use/love?

Ello Guides - All In One Place!

Ello ello! We've done a couple of guides now so wanted to make a post with them all together, rather than you trawl a couple months back and look for them.

Remember we're always open to suggestions on guides, so if you'd like to see a guide on a topic, please let me know :)

Folksy Friday: Red Riding Hood

Ello and welcome to another Folksy Friday!

This week's theme is one of my favourite fairytales, Little Red Riding Hood :)

As always, our picks are on Pinterest, and if you're not that keen on having your work on our board, just let us know and we'll take it off.

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks as always to the makers of the items above!

As an added bonus this week, some of the items from the Folksy St Patrick's Challenge thread have been chosen for the front page, including my own good luck card!

This was a great challenge so i'm glad its been recognised ;)

And on a personal non-Ello note, tomorrow is mine and Mr Ello's 6 year anniversary! I don't know how he's put up with me and my cards so long lol

And there's rugby tomorrow (can I say Grand Slam?)
So hope you all have a great weekend!

Wedding Fever?

Before you jump ahead, no, am not getting married! I'm in no rush for that ;)

No, the reason behind this post is that i've noticed that i've sold a lot of wedding related cards lately - my wedding acceptance one has been especially popular.

So is it just me being dim and not knowing that its wedding season or are wedding cards just nice? lol

We were also discussing on Facebook wedding colour schemes (and how I think grey makes just a good a theme as white!)

I found that the amazing site COLOURlovers has its own wedding section where you can find palettes and patterns to suit what your big day.

I especially love the latest trends!

My other favourite place for wedding inspiration is Etsy - I am in love with their selection of invites, as shown in my grey wedding treasury below ;)

So whenever your big day will be, hope you find the perfect colour scheme!

Folksy Friday: Papercuts

This week, in honour of my sister's first attempts at papercuts, i've chosen papercuts for this week's Folksy Friday theme :)

I seriously admire the patience and skill needed to create papercuts so hopefully the items featured this week will show them off in all their beauty!

Thanks and enjoy as always!

Big thanks goes to the incredible makers of these papercuts, thank you so much!

As an added yey this week, I woke up to find my Sunshine theme is on the Folksy front page!

I put a lot of thought into my collections so i'm so happy that this one got chosen (its one of my favourites!) So big thanks to Folksy for choosing it!

And thanks to all my new followers too, I hope i'm not too boring lol

Have a great weekend!

This Week at Ello

Ello! Hope you're all having a nice March so far.
We've actually been quite busy and have sold over 100 cards the past two months!
Massive thank you to our customers, you're all amazing :)

We've also changed our Ello calendar to March now, as seen below!

(There's still one in our Folksy shop if you're really late getting one!)
I'll be showing the rest of the calendar months now once we get to them :)

Also this week, i've got some paper cutting to show you!

My sister is working on a project in college and she's decided to make a whole alphabet like this (I envy her patience!)

Her theme was a word (hers was tune) so she incorporated musical notes into the letters. This is her 1st go at paper cutting so i'm sure she'll get better as she goes along ;)

Because of this, i've chosen a papercut theme for this week's Folksy Friday!

You can visit our Pinterest board to see the whole collection :)

If you have a papercut that you'd like to be included, please let me know. I might even use it in our upcoming Friday blog!

So, until then, wishing you a good week!
